It’s Primary Day in Berkley. Polls are open until 8PM for both Democratic and Republican primaries. We expect this one to go by with little fanfare, not that it makes a difference.
The Berkley Board of Registrars made a point of overruling non-appointments of the Board of Selectmen and put the same poll workers who received voter complaints back in their positions with little fanfare and no public discussion.
Embattled Town Clerk Heather Almy is still in place and the poll workers are all the same. The only material changes to Berkley election management is a state mandated training that was given 2 weeks ago, and the Town Clerk’s Office and poll workers involved have all agreed that the May election fiasco wasn’t their fault. Looks like Berkley solves another crisis of confidence in it’s government operations!.
A source who just came from the polling place informed us that disgraced poll worker Kerrie Ann Samson Auclair has returned to help Almy upend another election’s worth of vote tabulations between long, lingering looks at voters’ ballots. According to the source, Auclair is not wearing open toe shoes, which means any candidate for office receiving more than 10 votes would be wise to seek a recount of the Berkley election results.
