Berkley Registrars Take Back Auclair Under Cloud of Controversy. Stutter on Miller.

Y’all Qaeda Steps up and Takes Back Berkley

On Monday, August 17th, in a sharp and stinging rebuke to the Board of Selectman’s professionalism initiative to implement a vetting process for hiring poll workers, the Berkley Board of Registrars onboarded all of those poll workers who didn’t submit resumes as required by the BOS, and one who had multiple complaints of improper conduct on Election Day. In Mother Berkley, the poll worker onboards you apparently.

It’s yet another slap in the face to the BOS for attempting to institute process and professionalism in the wake of an election that Massachusetts officials will teach to Town Clerks across the Commonwealth for decades to come. Of course, that’s for all the wrong reasons under the leadership vacuum of embattled and overmatched Town Clerk Heather Almy. And it signals some sense of hopelessness in ever achieving true integrity and transparency in municipal government here. But that’s Old Berkley; as always we show up and take care of our own. You have to hand it to them, loyalty matters. Coming through in the 11th hour and protecting one of their own at the expense of 5,700 voters is a sign of their unwavering commitment to each other above all and anyone else.

Of particular concern for the state of election operations and integrity – the Registrars also re-appointed Kerrie Ann Samson Auclair. You may remember her for regularly desecrating the American flag by wearing it as clothing at every public event she gets the opportunity, and those cheeky Christmas song parodies repurposed to glamourize gun play on Tiktok.

Auclair was the subject of multiple complaints from voters on Election Day, as both the Town Clerk’s office and the Town received texts, calls, and emails about her conduct as a poll worker. The Board of Selectmen did not re-appoint her at their meeting on August 12, 2026 and that omission was both a glaring and a necessary first step to re-establish ethics and transparency.

Get ready for all the Democracy you can handle, y’all

The registrars seemed satisfied that a simple state retraining will do and overturned the will of the Board of Selectmen. But it’s tough to see that path working out. Even if there was an integrity injection available, you’d still have to get past the anti-vaccination scientists on the internet to administer it.

They’re Not From This World

It looks like Angry Little Leprechaun and newly minted Rehoboth resident George Miller is still Berkley’s Town Moderator. We expect, as it has been his way throughout the entirety of his tenure in Berkley politics, that the little Ginger Menace will thumb his nose at Berkley all the way up to a possible Special Town Meeting in November.

George Miller is the Iran/Iraq War. Right thinking people root against both sides. It’s not something he’s going to update his LinkedIn with but he’s spent the last 15 years putting Berkley last as a Town official when he lived here. Don’t expect treatment to get better now that he’s gotten permission to feed into the worst parts of his personality, as if one could be worse than the other, and continue to hold Berkley hostage while making Town Hall look feeble.

The Registrars hands were largely tied here, as this part of Massachusetts General Law apparently doesn’t account for someone as loathsome and conniving as Miller pulling the stunt that he has with his elected office, and manipulating Massachusetts General Law to hang around like a Superbug that needs three prescriptions to make go away. We’re looking forward to seeing how Town Hall addresses it – or if they can; it looks like wispy, mendacious embodiment of The Brooks Brothers Boys Collection can just sit in the distance continuing to thumb his nose at all of Berkley indefinitely.
